said the girl to the parrot in the polka dot dress,
"all your fussing and preening, you've caused such distress"
the owl, usually quiet, with little to say
only observing and noting told me today,
"she's lost it! She's crazy with all her red feathers
in tangles and knots trying to appeal to jet setters.
I cannot abide it, I've no other choice, we've got to do something,
one united voice!"
The girl, quite unsure of the old birds words
agreed with trepidation and replied, "haven't you heard?
The parrot doesn't care about serious things,
she only responds to the beautiful peacock, who sings.
until he is satisfied, she will not stop
the crazy pursuit of that selfish peacock."
The owl and the girl, feeling stuck in the tree
agreed that for the time, they'd just let it be.
He back to observing, she back to the grind,
they watched and they waited for further decline.
A silly, silly story, but as the moral goes,
never trust in a bird with personal woes.

That is cool, tumbles along with it's rhythm and rhyme. Is it based on a true story? Welcome back, it is so good to hear from you again.
thanks. good to hear from ya! unfortunately, it is my silly take on my current work situation. i thought making light of it might make me feel better about it. i think i was channeling dr seuss a little... lol
Haha, a like it. It's a parabolic parable in rhyme. Where have those other two gone? I will go and see if I can wake them up from their slumbers.
